Drag Race Mexico: Latina Royale is officially coming in 2026

The Drag Race universe just got a little more caliente. World of Wonder has officially greenlit Drag Race Mexico: Latina Royale, the newest international installment of the Emmy-winning franchise, The Hollywood Reporter exclusively revealed. The series will bring together an all-star cast of Latin drag artists from across the global Drag Race family, celebrating the richness, artistry, and flair of Latin drag on a worldwide stage.
Following the success of Drag Race Philippines: Slaysian Royale, which spotlighted Asian queens from different franchises, Latina Royale will shine a well-deserved spotlight on Latin representation in drag. While the host and cast for the debut season are still under wraps, fans are already speculating that Drag Race Mexico co-hosts Lolita Banana and Taiga Brava could be involved in some capacity.
The announcement comes amid a major expansion of the Drag Race brand, and at a time when Latin queens have become some of the most beloved performers in the franchise’s global legacy.

From Valentina (season nine’s “Miss Congeniality” and one of Mexico’s most iconic drag exports) to Bianca Del Rio, Alexis Mateo, Yara Sofia, Jessica Wild, and Ginger Minj (recent All Stars 10 winner), Latin queens have long brought fire, humor, and authenticity to Drag Race’s global stages.
In its two seasons, Drag Race Mexico has already featured 24 queens, including winners Cristian Peralta and Leexa Fox, and international fan favorite Gala Varo, who also competed on Global All Stars.
Latina Royale isn’t just about adding another show, it’s part of WOW’s ongoing mission to showcase drag artistry as a universal language. “World of Wonder is proud to continue spotlighting the many cultures which shape global drag, and celebrate Latin artistry with Drag Race Mexico: Latina Royale,” said WOW co-founders Fenton Bailey and Randy Barbato in a statement.

The announcement also came with another exciting update: Drag Race Philippines has been renewed for a fourth season following the record-breaking success of Slaysian Royale, which became WOW Presents Plus’ most-watched global premiere ever and saw a 50% increase in viewership compared to Drag Race Philippines season three.
Both Drag Race Mexico: Latina Royale and Drag Race Philippines season four are set to premiere on WOW Presents Plus in 2026. Ahead of the release, fans will get a special treat: Drag Race Mexico Rewind, a highlight series revisiting iconic moments from the first two Mexican seasons, premiering December 2025.
Meanwhile, World of Wonder continues to build its global lineup, with Drag Race Down Under vs. the World also on the way, following the format of Latina Royale by featuring queens from various international versions competing for the worldwide crown.
Since RuPaul’s Drag Race first sashayed onto screens in 2009, the franchise has grown into a cultural juggernaut spanning over 15 countries. With Latina Royale, WOW adds another glittering gem to its global drag dynasty, one that promises to celebrate Latin excellence with the passion, pride, and sparkle only Drag Race can deliver.
