Between the ages of three and thirteen, she underwent recurring summer surgical procedures on both legs to correct bone curvature, enduring painful recovery processes in hospital settings. At age thirteen, Chapa made the courageous decision to halt further operations to reclaim her quality of life, eventually taking full control of her health in her mid twenties by initiating an intense conditioning routine that fostered complete personal independence.

Under the guidance of personal trainer Claudia Ramirez at Triumfit gym, Chapa discovered her passion for Hyrox, a grueling fitness competition combining running segments with high intensity functional workout stations. After qualifying for the global showpiece and raising over eight thousand dollars through local community fundraising efforts, Chapa dominated the short stature impairment division in Stockholm. She completed the course in an astonishing 41:15, crossing the finish line nearly eight minutes ahead of her closest competitor while setting a world record time for her classification category.
