His album “Génesis” grabbed the ninth spot on the global album charts and his music altogether amassed over 9 billion views on Spotify this year.

The highlight of Peso Pluma’s achievements in 2023 was undoubtedly the historic success of “Ella Baila Sola.” His collaboration with Eslabón Armado on the hit song “Ella Baila Sola” secured the fifth position as the world’s most-listened-to track and made history by becoming the first Mexican song to claim the top spot on Spotify’s global charts. The track maintained its dominance for an impressive 51 days on the global charts and 54 days on the U.S. charts.
The song also became the most-listened-to Latin song worldwide. His collaboration with Yng Lvcas, “La Bebe – Remix,” secured the fourth position. Corridos tumbados and regional Mexican genres made history on Apple Music’s year-end list. “Ella Baila Sola” secured the 18th position in the Top 20.
Not confining his success to just streaming platforms, Peso Pluma dominated YouTube, claiming three spots in the top 10 most-viewed videos of the year, all in Spanish. “La Bebe” secured the number one position, while “Ella Baila Sola” and “PRC” claimed the fifth and tenth positions, respectively.

Recognizing his extraordinary impact, TIME100 Next featured Peso Pluma as an emerging leader in 2023. His inclusion in this prestigious list highlights not only his musical talent but also his role as a cultural ambassador, introducing the richness of regional Mexican music to global audiences.
Furthermore, Forbes magazine ranked Peso Pluma in the “30 under 30” list. His influence, both nationally and internationally, earned him a spot among the most influential young leaders in the world. Forbes described him as an artist who brings a “modern touch” to Mexico’s national music, seamlessly fusing a diverse range of genres in his lyrics.

Adding to the list of accomplishments, Peso Pluma embarked on his first tour in the United States, featuring approximately 40 shows, before flying to South America, with stops in Mexico. The tour, named “Doble P Tour,” coincided with the release of his third studio album, “Génesis.”
It has also been a phenomenal year for Peso Pluma’s love life. Argentinian singer Nicki Nicole and Double P finally made their relationship official after rumors and evidence circulated that they were together. Since then, the two young artists no longer lay low and now openly show their romance on social media. They were seen in the stands at both Newell’s and Inter Miami’s stadiums and every time they are on stage performing together or on the red carpet they share a kiss or hold hands.
