La Charla: Meet our Latina Hosts

What happens when you gather a trio of strong, opinionated, and successful women and allow them to speak freely about their passions, attitudes, and life experiences? Enter, La Charla. This first-of-its-kind talk show breaks free from the restraints of our social inhibitions and replaces them with authentic and genuine expression. Let’s meet our hosts.

Rocsi Diaz

Her real name is Raquel Roxanne Díaz, but everyone already knows her as “Rocsi.” She was born in Tegucigalpa, Honduras, in 1981 but grew up in New Orleans, United States. Ever since she was little she connected with pop culture. She started her career as a radio host in Dallas at 97.9 The Beat, a popular FM radio station. From there, her career began to grow and expand, not only in the world of entertainment but also as a model as well.

Throughout her career she has been at the forefront of entertainment, interviewing top-tier celebrities such as Lady Gaga and Eminem. Besides working at People and on BET 106 & Park, she has also done philanthropic work and collaborates with various charities.

Amara La Negra

Diana Danelys De Los Santos was born in Miami in 1990. Currently, she is better known by her stage name “Amara La Negra,” as she is Afro Latina, of Dominican descent. Regarding her career, she has ventured into several different artistic areas, and is a singer, dancer, actress, author and TV host in the U.S. She is also a mother to two twin daughters, Sumajestad Royalty and Sualteza Empress De Los Santos

She has participated in a variety of television shows, including VH1’s Love & Hip Hop: Miami. It was during the filming of the show that she met fellow co-star Allan Mueses, who is the father of her two girls. She was dubbed “La Negra” by Billboard after she became the breakout star of the show, landing a multi-album recording deal with BMG. 

Marycarmen López

Marycarmen López was born in 1988 in Hermosillo, Sonora, Mexico, but when she was a child, her family moved to San Antonio, in the United States.

It was precisely her desire to pursue a profession in the world of entertainment, which led her family to move to a place where she could have greater access to career opportunities. 

Currently, she is an actress and is also considered one of the main television presenters in the United States. She previously studied at Our Lady of the Lake University in Los Angeles, California. She graduated with a degree in Communications and Broadcasting, which has led itself well to her chosen profession. 

In addition, she has become a great source of inspiration for many people who are in or want to get into the entertainment industry.
