How to Be on the Real-Life Squid Game and Win $4.65 Million

Most of us who watched Squid Game on Netflix speculated on how well we would do in such a game, and some of us, myself included thought we could actually win the full prize. Well, Netflix just announced that not only did they greenlight a real life Squid Game gameshow, but the cash prize will be a record-setting $4.56 million.

‘Squid Game: The Challenge,’ prize amount $4.56 Million

The $4.56 million dollar prize will go to the winner of ‘Squid Game: The Challenge,’ should they win and beat out the other 456 contenders. The announcement was made at the Banff World Media Festival this Tuesday.

In the announcement Brandon Riegg the VP of unscripted and documentary series told fans. “We’re grateful for his support as we turn the fictional world into reality in this massive competition and social experiment. Fans of the drama series are in for a fascinating and unpredictable journey as our 456 real-world contestants navigate the biggest competition series ever, full of tension and twists, with the biggest-ever cash prize at the end.”

So, you’re reading that correctly, over a 10-episode season contestants will have to undergo a series of challenges inspired by the Netflix series. What those challenges are is still unclear, but Netflix did release a Squid Game: The Challenge teaser clip which is mostly to entice competitors based on the massive payout for winning.

Be a Squid Game: The Challenge Contestant

In lieu of getting emasculated and face slapped by some dude in a subway station, getting into the casting pool for the new Netflix reality series is as simple as filling out a form on the series website. Fans can visit SquidGameCasting.com where they can sign up to be chosen to participate. One requirement is that the contestants be English-speaking.

The entry form includes a request for pictures and videos of contestants as well as other details.

Squid Game Season 2

Just recently Netflix announced that there will be a Squid Game Season 2 coming to the streaming platform on the heels of a record breaking season 1. Squid Game has 1.65 billion hours viewed in just the first 28 days of it’s release and has only been beat by the recent release of Stranger Things 4
