Who Will Bring Home the Grammy? Our picks for 2024

The 2024 Grammy Awards are just around the corner, and music enthusiasts are eagerly waiting to see who will take home the beloved trophy.
SZA leads the pack with nine nominations, the most of any artist for this year’s show. Following closely behind are Victoria Monet and Phoebe Bridgers, who both have seven nominations. The event promises to be a celebration of musical diversity and excellence, with Trevor Noah as the host. Here are our predictions!
Our 2024 Grammy Predictions

- “the record” by boygenius
- “Endless Summer Vacation” by Miley Cyrus

From gutsy pop to psychedelic soul, the eight nominees come from very different music genres. However, the year without a doubt belonged to Taylor. Her Eras Tour dominated 2023, accompanied by the launch of her highly anticipated Midnights album. In between her re-recordings, Taylor released her first album since the pandemic, with record-breaking singles such as Anti-Hero, Lavender Haze, and Bejeweled. Becoming the most listened-to artist in the world is enough proof of why Swift deserves the Album of The Year Award.
Record of the Year
The Record of the Year nominees are:
- “Worship” by Jon Batiste
- “Not Strong Enough” by boygenius
- “Flowers” by Miley Cyrus
- “What Was I Made For? [From The Motion Picture “Barbie”]” by Billie Eilish

Even though she won’t be able to top her sweeping win at the 2020 Grammys, where she took home awards for the four main categories, Billie Eilish is still our pick for the win. Although it doesn’t come close to the amazing “When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?,” the sad acoustic pop ballad that Billie wrote for the Top-Grossing movie of the year, Barbie, can’t be passed on. With his brother FINNEAS coming again as producer, this duo wrote the most heartwarming and award-deserving Record of the Year.
Song of the Year
The Song of the Year nominees for this year’s Grammys are:
- “A&W” by Lana Del Rey
- “Anti-Hero” by Taylor Swift
- “Butterfly” by Jon Batiste
- “Dance The Night – From Barbie The Album” by Dua Lipa
- “Flowers” by Miley Cyrus
- “Kill Bill” by SZA
- “vampire” by Olivia Rodrigo
- “What Was I Made For? [From The Motion Picture “Barbie”]” by Billie Eilish

We bet if you stop any person in the street and have them listen to a snippet of “Flowers” by Miley Cyrus, they will instantly recognize it. Coming in the top spot on the most-listened-to songs of the year on Spotify, “Flowers” was played on every radio station, every single day of the year. Miley has buried her Hannah Montana days with this self-love pop anthem and she is surely deserving of the Song of the Year award.

There is just no way Ice Spice won’t win. Her 2023 was undeniably a breakthrough in her career, including one single for the “Barbie” movie and a collaboration with Taylor Swift. Not only has she ripped up the charts but she was the first musical guest for the return of SNL.
Best Música Urbana Album
Delving into the Latino categories, the nominees for Best Música Urbana Album are:
- “Saturno” by Rauw Alejandro
- “Mañana Será Bonito” by Karol G
- “Data” by Tainy

On March 5th, Karol G reached the top of the Billboard 200 for the first time in her career with her aforementioned album. After that number one, the first for a Latin woman with an album 100% in Spanish (and the second after Bad Bunny’s Un Verano Sin Ti), she appeared on Saturday Night Live and The Today Show, won countless awards at the Latin Grammys, signed with Interscope Records, appeared on the “Barbie” soundtrack, and had the second most successful tour of the year worldwide, selling out tickets at each one of her stops in the United States.
Best Música Mexicana Album
Of course, we had to include Mexican music. The nominees are:
- “Bordado A Mano” by Ana Bárbara
- “La Sánchez” by Lila Downs
- “Motherflower” by Flor De Toloache
- “Amor Como En Las Películas De Antes” by Lupita Infante
- “GÉNESIS” by Peso Pluma

Despite being snubbed in the Best New Artist category, Peso Pluma’s year has been unmatched. Coming from a small town in Mexico and singing a little-known music genre called Corridos Tumbados, Doble P reached the fifth spot on Spotify’s main rankings: most-listened-to artists and albums. Winning in every award show and selling out every stop during his United States and Latin American Tour, Peso Pluma is undisputedly THE Mexican artist of the year.
The 66th Grammy Awards will take place on Sunday, February 4th, 2024, at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles and broadcast on CBS and Paramount+.
