“You, Me, and Joe” – A Show About Real, Honest Conversations

Cinthya Carmona shared some insights about her new show, “You, Me, and Joe.” The show, which she describes as “actors on actors having real, honest conversations,” touches on a wide range of topics, including mental health, relationships, love, heartbreak, and the intricacies of the acting world.

In the interview, Cinthya revealed that her friend, the show’s executive producer, Jhon Mejia, reached out to her for this project. Despite her initial reservations about stepping out of her comfort zone as an actress, Cinthya embraced the opportunity to engage in authentic, genuine conversations.

She stated, “I love getting to know people. I love chatting with other actors. I love just authentic, genuine conversations.”

The show, filmed at the Farm Cup, features coffee from all around the world, providing a unique backdrop for such intimate conversations. Despite coffee giving her anxiety, Cinthya described the experience as meditative and enjoyable, likening it to meeting up with friends.

Challenging Latina Stereotypes and Changing the Narrative


Carmona also discussed the challenges she has faced as an actress of Latinx heritage, touching upon the issue of being typecast as a stereotypical Latina and emphasizing her desire to be seen as “interesting” rather than conforming to the narrow, preconceived notion of what is beauty and identity.

Cinthya shared her commitment to diversity in her roles and the importance of showcasing the multifaceted nature of Latinx experiences, expressing her frustration with the industry’s tendency to pigeonhole actors based on their appearance and background.
