Recent history and national team call ups

This California clash takes place just two weeks after their thrilling league encounter where Cruz Azul secured a four to three victory after holding off a late comeback attempt. For this exhibition match, both coaching staffs must adjust their starting lineups due to missing key starters summoned for international duty. Nevertheless, both organizations possess deep rosters capable of delivering an entertaining spectacle while providing valuable playing time to squad rotation players.

Match projections and expected starting lineups

Sports analysts predict an open match with scoring opportunities for both sides given the exhibition nature of the contest. Club América is expected to line up with Rodolfo Cota in goal, supported by defenders Kevin Álvarez, Ramón Juárez, Emilio Lara, and Cristian Borja. On the other side, Cruz Azul is projected to utilize a back three formation anchored by Willer Ditta, Gonzalo Piovi and Jesús Orozco, with Nicolás Ibáñez and Gabriel Fernández leading the attacking line.
