Get2know recently hosted the incredible Kenia Os! Kenia Guadalupe Flores Osuna, better known as just Kenia Os, is Mexican singer-songwriter and entrepeneur from Mazatlán, Sinaloa. You might recognize her from her early days of sharing vlogs on YouTube, where she quickly garnered a large following thanks to her engaging content charming personality. Today, she’s a sensation with nearly 17 million Instagram followers!

Meet Kenia Os

Kenia Os first stepped into the spotlight with her vlogs in 2015. She then joined the Jukilop group, which brought her more fame, before branching out on her own in 2018. That’s when she really started to shine, sharing videos about her life, fashion, beauty, and of course, her music. Her debut single “Por Siempre” came out that same year under Lizos Music, and since then, she’s been unstoppable.

By 2020, Kenia fully embraced her music career and released her first EP. She’s now got three studio albums to her name: Cambios de Luna (2022), K23 (2023), and her latest, Pink Aura (2024). She’s also kicked off her Pink Aura Tour, which will take her all over Mexico and the US until December, and recently released her collaboration with Peso Pluma, “Tommy & Pamela.”

In our interview, Kenia shared some interesting personal tidbits. She loves starting her day with an omelet and corn tortillas, especially if it includes pumpkin flowers, her first job was at her uncle’s chicken shop, where she helped out on weekends while studying, and she says friends describe her as a fun person with a bubbly personality.

Kenia also loves athleisure clothes, pajamas, and anything that is relaxed and comfortable. As a Cancer, she’s very affectionate and loves hugging people, though she admits she can get pretty fiery when upset. Her favorite motto is “a forewarned woman is worth two,” and she strives to live by it.

Mazatlán holds a special place in her heart, especially for its food and traditional band music. She even shared a moment from earlier that same morning, when she bravely performed without having the chance to correctly warm up her voice!

One of the most Gen Z things about Kenia is her many Instagram accounts, including a private one just for close family and friends. She doesn’t go anywhere without her essentials in her bag- lip gloss, her cell phone, and Stevia, and the two main playlists that define her vibe are: K O’s Mood and Nini Belica.

Kenia’s advice for boosting self-esteem is “first, love yourself very much, start the work of loving yourself every day and accept yourself. And support yourself with therapy, that helps a lot”.

During the interview, she shared the inspiration behind her album and tour title, Pink Aura, which is about embracing a more feminine energy she feels is best represented by the color pink.

Kenia’s particularly excited to perform in New York again, one of her favorite cities. “It’s very special, it was one of the most exciting audiences because I think we fulfilled a dream together. The fact of being in that city, of being Mexican, and that many had probably not seen me in concert in Mexico, literally feels like Mexico is home,” she shared.
