Watch The Witcher Season 2 Trailer

Netflix has released the official premiere date for season 2 of The Witcher. It will be available on December 17 and there are new characters in it. They include Lambert, Coën, Vesemir, Yasen Atou and Kim Bodnia.
The first season of the show was slated for release in the US on the 25th of the month, but the date was pushed back to the 30th of the month because the network wanted to add some extra polish.
While the show focuses on the titular monster hunter Geralt, the upcoming season will not only follow the witcher’s adventures, as the showrunners have revealed on the official Netflix streaming blog: “We are thrilled that Netflix will continue to partner with us on the further adventures of the monster slayer, Geralt of Rivia.”
The cast for the show is the same as the first one, kind of like Fate: The Winx Saga. Gwendolyn Christie, who plays the captain of the guards in the series, said: “We were the first show to come onto the production and the last to leave, so we have been the most deeply and intimately involved during this whole process.”
“It was the same sort of feeling when we finished the show the first time around. We just felt like the stories had more to tell, the characters had more to do, the themes that it was an exploration of the human condition were still relevant.”
“That’s the same thing with the second season and the same thing with the third season that we’re now beginning to develop. It just has shifted the focus and the characters a little bit, the point of view.”
While the show was shot in the region of the Czech Republic and Poland, the upcoming The Witcher season 2 has been reportedly filmed in the city of Rastislav, the capital of the district in the Czech Republic.
