Premios Platino: The Complete Winners List

In a truly inclusive event that celebrates the cinema of all Ibero-American countries, the 8th Annual Premios Platino took place in Madrid at IFEMA Municipal Palace with a star-studded gala. The show was hosted by performers Juana Acosta and Luis Gerardo Méndez.
Memories of my Father, the film directed by Fernando Trueba, won the award for Best Director. It was also recognized with the Platino Award for Best Male Actor (Javier Cámara) and with awards for Best Ibero-American Feature Film, Best Screenplay and Best Director, for a total of 5 awards.
Patria, the television series that recounts the Basque conflict also had a great showing with 4 awards: Best Female Performance in a Miniseries or Teleseries for Elena Irureta, Best Supporting Female Performance in a Miniseries or Teleseries for Loreto Mauleón, Best Cinematographic Miniseries or Teleseries Iberoamericana, and the new award for Best Creator of a Cinematographic Miniseries or Teleseries, received by Aitor Gabilondo.
