California’s luxury real estate market has become almost as competitive as Hollywood itself: for Latino celebrities who have built global careers in music, television, film and business, buying a home in Beverly Hills, Bel Air or the Hollywood Hills is no longer just about finding somewhere to live, as it is also a major financial decision involving privacy, security, status and potentially, tens of millions of dollars. While some stars have purchased historic estates designed by famous architects, others have chosen sprawling compounds with recording studios, guesthouses, theaters and enough parking for an entire entourage. The ranking below is based on publicly reported acquisition prices rather than estimated current values, and although several of the properties have since been listed or sold, their documented purchase prices reveal just how much Latino stars have invested in California real estate.
10. Demi Lovato’s Studio City farmhouse: $7 million
Demi Lovato purchased a newly built modern farmhouse in Studio City for approximately $7 million in 2020. The roughly 8,500 square foot residence includes six bedrooms, a theater, a swimming pool and separate spaces for wardrobe fittings, beauty preparation and music production. Lovato later transformed the pool house into a recording studio and filled the property with colorful art and highly personalized interiors; unlike the minimalist mansions favored by many Hollywood celebrities, Lovato’s home became known for its maximalist design and unconventional rooms.

8. Jessica Alba’s Beverly Hills family estate: $9.9 million
Jessica Alba and Cash Warren purchased their Beverly Hills estate for about $9.9 million in 2017. The property became Alba’s highly publicized “dream home” after a major renovation by Clements Design, where the approximately 8,800 square foot residence was created as a family home rather than a cold showpiece, featuring extensive custom millwork, large entertainment spaces and resort style outdoor areas. After Alba and Warren separated, the home was listed for nearly $19 million in 2025 and reportedly sold for approximately $18.2 million, making it not only one of the most expensive homes connected to a Latina celebrity, but also one of the most financially successful transactions on this list.

Christina Aguilera paid approximately $10 million for an 11,000 square foot Mediterranean style mansion in the gated Mulholland Estates community. 1. Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck’s Beverly Hills compound: $60.9 million
No property on this list comes close to the Beverly Hills compound Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck purchased for approximately $60.9 million in 2023. The sprawling residence measures roughly 38,000 square feet and reportedly includes 12 bedrooms, 24 bathrooms, an indoor sports complex, a movie theater, a hair and nail salon, a 12 car garage and a 155 foot infinity pool. After the couple separated, the mansion was listed for $68 million, remaining on the market through multiple stages of their divorce and eventually requiring a significant price reduction to attract a buyer; the property therefore became more than a celebrity mansion, serving as a public example of how carrying costs, market timing and the limited pool of buyers for ultraluxury homes can complicate even the most glamorous real estate purchase.
