What To Expect This Year At The Baja Beach Fest 2023

Baja Beach Fest is back. The festival is taking place for a fifth time, and this year’s lineup is bigger and better than ever. The festival will run from August 11th to the 13th on the beaches of Rosarito, in Tijuana, Baja California.

The lineup for the greatest reggaeton party in the Northwest of Mexico will include some of the greatest exponents of trap and Latin urban music. Don Omar, Ozuna, Feid, Tego Calderón, Wisin y Yandel, Arcangel, and Grupo Firme will all be performing at the festival.

Parties, dancing, plenty of food, cocktails, and a fantastic production will be part of the event that pays tribute to Latino pride. This must-see event, with its sand, sea, fresh ocean breeze, and good music, unapologetically declares the message of “less hate, more perreo.”

The first day of the festival will kick off with performances by Nicky Jam, Wisin y Yandel, El Alfa, Eladio Carrion, Manuel Turizo, Tainy, Gera MX, Farina, Del V, DJ Mariam, and DJ Fredy Fresco.

On Saturday, August 12th, expect performances by Ozuna, Feid, Becky G, Ivy Queen, Ryan Castro, Alexis and Fido, Yovngchimi, Young Miko, Chanell, Sky Rompiendo, and Dj Dynamiq.

And as a special bonus, Mexican regional band Grupo Firme will be the stars of the “Special Sunday Set,” a one-of-a-kind presentation that will delight fans with their hits, which have made the group one of the hottest acts of the year.

In addition to the music, Baja Beach Fest also features a variety of other activities, as, attendees will be able to access activities such as the Baja Wheel, where they will enjoy an amazing view of the Pacific Ocean, ideal for admiring the colorful sunset on the beach.

In the Game Garden, attendees will be able to play a game of Beer Pong or Corn Hole, or go roller skating in the Rollerskate Rink.

Baja Beach Fest: an event surrounded by controversy

The Baja Beach Fest has been immersed in controversy in its two most recent editions. In 2021, the festival was held in the midst of a wave of COVID-19, when it managed to gather more than 30,000 attendees each day, generating a wave of criticism and negative comments for the organizers of the event.

In the 2022 edition, the urban genre party was marred by criminal acts that took place in the town, as 17 public transport units were burned in Ensenada, Tecate, and Mexicali, causing some businesses and public services to remain closed for security reasons.
