Alvaro Morte aka “El Profesor” Embarks in New Show ‘The Wheel of Time’

There have been few roles as iconic and memorable as the one of El Profesor in the most watched show on Netflix, Money Heist. And what are the odds that your former roommate is his best friend? Not many, but this is a small world, people, and I got to talk to him.

Our beloved Profesor, only after sending his regards to our common friend, told me all about this new exciting journey he is embarking on. The Spanish actor is now exploring a role that couldn’t be more different from the one that set him off at the new Amazon Prime show, The Wheel of Time. We got to talk to him and he walked us through the journey of becoming Logain Ablar, in the acclaimed tv series based on the high fantasy novels by American author Robert Jordan and Brandon Sanderson as a co-author for the final three novels and adapted for television by executive producer/showrunner Rafe Judkins.

Set in a sprawling, epic world where magic exists and only certain women are allowed to access it, the story follows Moiraine (Rosamund Pike), a member of the powerful all-female organization called the Aes Sedai, as she arrives in the small town of Two Rivers where she embarks on a dangerous, world-spanning journey with five young men and women, one of whom is prophesied to be the Dragon Reborn, who will either save or destroy humanity.
