Who’s on top of Liga MX? Here’s how the Apertura 2025 table looks

The Apertura 2025 is heating up. After 13 intense matchdays, Toluca remains the team to beat, while Cruz Azul and América continue to chase the leaders. Goals, drama, and late-match twists made this weekend one of the most entertaining rounds yet in Liga MX.

Toluca keeps control of the league

With a convincing win over Querétaro, Toluca reached 31 points and became the first club to officially clinch a playoff spot. Their attack has been lethal, scoring 29 goals, and their home form remains unbeaten.

Right behind them, Cruz Azul took the spotlight by beating América in the Clásico Joven, overtaking Las Águilas for second place with 28 points. The loss pushed América to third with 27, while Monterrey and Tigres round out the top five.

Playoff race getting tighter

With only four games left, the battle for Liguilla and Play-In spots is wide open. Pachuca, Tijuana, and Chivas are still in striking distance, while Pumas, San Luis, and Santos are fighting to stay alive.
