Vicente Fernández’s Netflix Series Teaser and Premiere Date

Netflix has revealed an official trailer for El Rey, a new series based on the life and career of Mexican iconic singer, Vicente Fernández. The project will be launched on September 14th, on time for Hispanic Heritage Month. The series has already premiered in Colombia, where it was produced by Caracol TV.

The plot tells the story from the humble origins of “El Charro de Huentitán” to the peak of his stardom over seven decades. The story is carried out by Jaime Camil (Jane the Virgin). In the preview you can see how Don Chente knew from a very young age that he wanted to dedicate himself to music and the complicated moments he had to go through to fulfill his life goals.
