WATCH – Triple Charm: multicultural heritage, sisterhood, and talent

If you haven’t heard of Triple Charm yet, you must be living under a rock! This musical trio, formed by sisters Gabriella, Amalia, and Raena, is a blend of talent, sisterhood, and relentless determination. They’ve become a sensation on TikTok, winning over the hearts of millions with their infectious energy and undeniable charisma.

Born and raised in Orlando, Florida, these sisters radiate a mix of cultural influences, thanks to their Puerto Rican, Polish, and Irish heritage. Their upbringing was steeped in diverse traditions, from Polish Wigilia to the fun of finding a hidden pickle in their tree on Christmas morning.

As Gabriella reminisces, “Our Polish Christmas is called Wigilia, and we do that on Christmas Eve… we have sauerkraut and sing Christmas carols.” Meanwhile, Amalia shares, “On Christmas morning, we have a fun tradition that we hide a pickle in the tree, and whoever finds it gets an extra gift.”

Their journey to stardom wasn’t easy, though; it was built through perseverance, hard work, and a shared dream. Recognizing the power of social media, the sisters dedicated themselves to forging an online presence that would catapult Triple Charm onto the global stage. They did so by spending one hour per day on the app, each one taking turns.

Their efforts paid off as they amassed over one million Instagram followers and nine million YouTube subscribers. Triple Charm’s content struck a chord with audiences worldwide, from catchy lyrics to celebrity collaborations, and hits like “Thrive,” “Tough Boy,” and “Don’t Need a Reason” solidified their status as rising stars in the music industry.

Yet, despite their success, the girls have remained humble and grateful, attributing much of their achievements to their tight-knit family, with their father as their manager and their mother as their stylist. This was crucial, as no one in the family came from an entertainment background.

Their journey took an exciting turn with the filming of their music video for “No Problema” in Puerto Rico. For the first time, they were able to connect with their Puerto Rican roots, immersing themselves in the culture that shaped their family.

“It was really cool to connect with our grandparents who were born and raised there,” Amalia reflects. “Over the course of our career, it’s been incredible to embrace our heritage.”

Exploring the vibrant streets of Old San Juan and the natural beauty of Gozalandia Falls, the sisters felt an undeniable sense of belonging. “The food was delicious, and hearing everyone speak Spanish felt so homey,” Raena shares. “Growing up in our abuela’s house and even our dad would speak Spanish, so it felt at home.”

However, they regret not knowing how to speak Spanish, something they now have been taking the time to learn. “It has been really cool learning Spanish and getting our hands on it, getting more efficient writing in Spanish as we learn more,” Gabriella recalls.

In our recent exclusive interview with Triple Charm, the girls opened up about the delicate balance of sisterhood and business partnership. They also engaged in a lighthearted game of “Which sister is most likely to,” sharing anecdotes and playful pokes at each other while demonstrating the special bond that Triple Charm has.
