The Final Battle: Five teams, one ticket to the Liga MX Femenil Liguilla

The Apertura 2025 in Liga MX Femenil has delivered goals, drama, and dominance. But with one week left, only one thing matters: the final spot in the Liguilla.

Seven clubs have already secured their invitation to the Fiesta Grande, Tigres, Pachuca, América, Toluca, Chivas, Rayadas, and Cruz Azul, but the eighth and final seat is still wide open. Five teams want it. Only one will get it.

The contenders

It all comes down to Juárez, León, Pumas, Atlas, and Atlético San Luis, five teams separated by just five points.
Juárez has the advantage: a win against Querétaro locks them in. But a single misstep could open the door for anyone behind them. León and Pumas face each other in what’s practically a knockout game, while Atlas and San Luis will need both points and miracles.

No second chances

Unlike the men’s league, there’s no play-in, no repechaje, the top eight go straight through. Once it’s over, it’s over. The format stays the same: 1 vs 8, 2 vs 7, 3 vs 6, 4 vs 5. A system built for consistency, not luck.

Key fixtures of the final weekend

Friday, Oct. 31

  • Chivas vs Necaxa – 5:00 PM ET

The crystal ball

This is where the legends of the league are made, in the final 90 minutes when pressure turns into poetry. Five teams will enter the weekend with hope. Only one will walk out alive.
