Rihanna Reveals She’s Pregnant at Super Bowl Halftime Show

The Kansas City Chiefs have won Super Bowl LVII, defeating the Philadelphia Eagles by just three points! However, the biggest news to come out of the event is not just that Rihanna came back to the stage after almost eight years, but also – SHE’S PREGNANT – AGAIN!

Rihanna was chosen to perform at the halftime show in front of thousands of fans at the State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona. The 34-year-old superstar entered the stage on a flying platform wearing a red jumpsuit, while dozens of hooded dancers and dazzling fireworks accompanied her on various other platforms.

Over a stunning 13-minute presentation, Riri sang a snippet of her biggest hits from her entire career, including: “Bitch Better Have My Money,” “Where Have You Been,” “We Found Love,” “Work,” “Wild Thoughts,” “Pour It Up,” “Only Girl,” “All of the Lights,” “Run this Town,” “Umbrella,” and “Diamonds.”

Among the several breathtaking moments of her performance, the singer had one viral moment in which she touched up her makeup mid-song, using the blotting powder from her makeup brand, Fenty. Besides being a clever promotion, it was also a way of showing the world that during her years away from music on stage, Rihanna has become a billionaire thanks to her makeup and lingerie companies: Fenty and Savage X Fenty.

However, after the show finished and everyone was left enamored by Rihanna’s vocals, dance moves, and overall performance, there was still one question left on our minds: is she pregnant or what!?

So, is Rihanna really pregnant? 

The singer opened her performance wearing an all red jumpsuit from Loewe by Jonathan Anderson, with a bustier that framed her chest and an oversized jacket on top by Alaïa. She then accessorized with a belt that highlighted her perfectly round tummy. In just a couple of minutes, fans on Twitter began speculating that she is pregnant.

Some of them also noticed that, halfway through the show, she gently rubbed her belly and told the press that she almost did not dance and did not make sudden movements, causing the theories of her possible pregnancy to gain even more strength. If true, Rihanna would become the first artist to host a Super Bowl halftime show while pregnant.

So far, the singer has not given any official statements. However, a representative for Rihanna has confirmed that she is indeed pregnant.

Just a couple of weeks ago, the singer revealed that the performance was going to have a surprise special guest, and fans were left wondering what she meant by that as no one showed up on stage except her. We now know the surprise, and the guest, was her baby!

Rihanna welcomed her first child, a boy, in May 2022, after revealing she was pregnant in January of that same year when she was photographed holding hands with her partner, rapper A$AP Rocky, showing off her baby bump. The soon-to-be father of two was spotted smiling and cheering her on during the Super Bowl halftime show while filming her performance. 

Among the celebrities who enjoyed the concert from the stadium stands were Bradley Cooper, Paul McCartney, LeBron James, Jason Derulo, Billie Eilish, and Adele. Model and actress Cara Delevingne was also present, wearing a T-shirt with the message “Rihanna’s concert interrupted by a football game. Weird but whatever.” Honestly, we feel the same.
