The Cast of RBD – Where Are They Now?

RBD announced that they are returning to the stage, 18 years after the release of the television and musical project that created the band. “Soy Rebelde World Tour’‘ is the name of the international tour that will bring five of the six members back to the stage singing their greatest hits such as “Nuestro Amor,” “Sólo Quédate en Silencio,” and “Sálvame.”
To help boost the show “Rebelde,” which ran for three seasons, its producers came up with the idea of creating a musical group made up of some of its most popular characters. And thus, RBD, an abbreviation of ReBelDe, was born. They were a success worldwide, releasing many songs and albums, as well as touring all around the globe, before disbanding in 2009.
Even though they started releasing new music in 2020, their official return will begin this August, when they will perform in several cities in Mexico, Brazil, and the US. However, fans will notice that the band is missing one of its members- Alfonso Herrera won’t be taking part in the show, citing irreconcilable differences between him and the group. But, what have the remaining members been up to all these years?

What happened with Alfonso Herrera?
As previously mentioned, the 39-year-old actor who played Miguel Arango in “Rebelde” is not returning for the tour. He didn’t even attend Anahí and Dulce María’s respective weddings or the cast’s reunion. Even though there are rumors of tension between some of the former bandmates, others have stated that he is no longer interested in singing and dancing on stage.
After his participation on the show, Alfonso Herrera appeared in several television series such as “El Equipo,” “El Diez,” “La Reina del Sur,” and “Sense8.” However, his most relevant role came a couple years later when he starred in the global hit and award-winning series “Ozark.” He has also participated in plays such as “Nadando con Tiburones” and the movie “Me Casé Con un Idiota.” In recent years, the actor has been highly committed to humanitarian activities and is an ambassador of the “Va Por Mi Cuenta” campaign, which offers healthy food to children in vulnerable situations in Mexico.
