NALIP Launches Latino Lens: Short Film Incubator For Women of Color

With recent studies including the USC Annenberg Inclusion Initiative and the DGA TV Inclusion report shining a light on the lack of representation for Latinx and Women of Color directors and writers, The National Association of Latino Independent Producers (NALIP) has launched the Latino Lens: Narrative Short Film Incubator for Women of Color sponsored by Netflix.

This incubator is an open call for diverse female content creators to submit their profile along with an original short narrative concept.  The incubator seeks to provide women of color filmmakers with the resources and tools needed for them to navigate the industry and produce an original short film. The program will work in conjunction with partners to empower content creators with resources, intensive mentorship, and the successful completion of their intended project.

Selected participants will continue being tracked and mentored post program to ensure their success in the industry and will be able to participate in mentorship and programming at NALIP’s staple events throughout the year: NALIP Media Summit, Latino Media Fest, and The Diverse Women in Media Forum.

Don’t miss out on this invaluable opportunity to learn, grow, and become an industry player.

NALIP will consider content creator profiles until 12:00 AM/ Midnight PST on Sunday, May 23rd, 2021.
