Messi and the Giants: The Animated Series for Kids Coming in 2025
Get ready, kids and parents! Lionel Messi is stepping into a brand-new field—animation! Disney+ has announced an exciting new series called Messi and the Giants, set to debut in 2025. This sci-fi adventure promises to bring Messi’s magic to your screens, featuring a story filled with action, teamwork, and inspiration for young viewers everywhere.
What We Know So Far
The series centers on Leo, a 12-year-old soccer prodigy who finds himself whisked away to the mysterious world of Iko. This once idyllic paradise is now dominated by gigantic Giants who govern ten distinct realms. Armed with courage and determination, Leo steps up to challenge these antagonists, even if he’s… well, height isn’t exactly his strong suit.
Each episode is 22 minutes of high-energy fun and heartwarming lessons. The creators want kids to finish each episode feeling inspired about teamwork, discipline, and believing in themselves—values Messi has held dear throughout his life.
Produced by Sony Music Vision and Sony Pictures Television – Kids, the show will be available in English, Spanish, and other languages. This allows kids from all over the world to root for Leo as he faces one challenge after another.

Messi is clearly thrilled about this project. Guy Toubes, known for creating popular kids’ TV shows, is leading the writing team. Dan Creteur and Atlantis Animation are in charge of the animation, ensuring every scene is as exciting and imaginative as possible.
