Mayweather vs. Paul Fight Faces Streaming Problems on Showtime

Did you pay $50 only to see a “502 Bad Gateway” error appear on your screen. Well, you’re not alone. It seems Showtime has dropped the ball on potentially the most important fight of their entire PPV history.
About 10 minutes into the fight, the live stream stopped working, with no signal from Showtime how long it would take to fix it. The fight was also having technical difficulties via cable providers, Xbox, and Fanmio Boxing. Apparently, the Fanmio app was working for some people, but not all.
A few minutes after the initial snafu, Showtime posted this tweet:

Obviously, Twitter went absolutely insane – demanding that Showtime give everyone their money back. As of about 7:45pm PST, the fight came back on for everyone right before the main event, which will probably save Showtime a lot of money (and outrage). No word yet on whether they will give a full or even partial refund for the technical difficulties. Check out some of the outraged tweets below:
I WANT MY FRIGGING MONEY BACK!!!! WHAT ARE THESE GATEWAY ERRORS?????? I CANNOT GET INTO THIS FIGHT i just paid $59 for!!!!!!!!🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 #MayweatherPaul

No it’s not working at all. Not sure if I should be upset or thankful. https://t.co/acsGfJCh25
