Dakota Johnson
The renowned 35-year-old actress will play the contentious heart of this new romantic triangle in cinema, and we can’t wait to see her on screen. Dakota Mayi Johnson is known for her role as Anastasia Steele in Fifty Shades and her performances in Suspiria, The Lost Daughter, Cha Cha Real Smooth, and more recently Madame Web.

Pedro Pascal
The 50-year-old Chilean actor will play the new love interest of Dakota’s character, a wealthy man older than her. He is known for his roles as Prince Oberyn Martell in Game of Thrones, Javier Peña in Narcos, the Mandalorian in The Mandalorian, and Joel Miller in The Last of Us. He’s also been cast as Reed Richards in the MCU’s Fantastic Four. Regarding his choice for Materialists, director Celine Song revealed: “It was really important that Harry wasn’t a villain or a joke… Pedro plays this character with such vulnerability that you can’t help but love him. He’s like an open wound.”

The former Captain America, now 43 years old, will play the role of a waiter trying to make ends meet, while also standing in the way of his ex’s new romance. He’s best known for his role as Steve Rogers in the MCU, and films like The Gray Man, Knives Out, and Defending Jacob. In 2025, he also starred in the dark comedy Honey Don’t! directed by Ethan Coen.
