There is no ignoring the electro corrido rhythm of “Alucin,” which caught the attention of Marca Registrada pre-release and led them to jump on board the highly promising single. The song’s clever lyrics project the life of an ‘Alucin,’ who appears to have a lot and show off a lavish lifestyle, than one really has. This has attracted a younger generation of listeners by still preserving the corridos belicos the artists are known for while dabbling in EDM beats.
Just two weeks after its release, “Alucin” has skyrocketed to #28 on Spotify Mexico’s Daily Top Songs chart, making its mark as one of the most streamed tracks in the country, as well as #48 on the Weekly Top Songs Mexico. The single’s success is not confined to Spotify alone, as it concurrently holds a strong position at #11 on the Top 100: Mexico chart on Apple Music. Los Esquivel’s “Alucin” boasts over 24,000 creations on TikTok and has accumulated 14 million audio streams. The music video already has 1.53M views on YouTube and was trending Top 10 on the platform.

The music video, eagerly awaited by fans, was recently unveiled, providing a visual spectacle that complements the energetic vibes of the song. Depicting an ‘Alucin’ hosting a lavish house party, the video captures the essence of the extravagant lifestyle and fame that many aspire to achieve. The release of the video coincided with Los Esquivel’s surprise performance at the Coca-Cola Flow Fest in Mexico City, where they shared the stage with Michelle Maciel and delivered an electrifying rendition of “Alucin.”
Eugenio Esquivel, one-half of the duo, experienced a viral moment during a concert in Monterrey when he joined forces with Peso Pluma to perform a snippet of “Lady Gaga.” The interaction quickly became a TikTok sensation, garnering millions of views and further solidifying Los Esquivel’s status as global superstars.
