Tata Harper: Tata Harper was one of the pioneers of the green skincare movement when she launched her eponymous skincare brand in 2010. Originally from Barranquilla, Colombia, Harper often still works out of her farm in Vermont. While all the production still occurs on the 1,200-acre Certified Organic farm, the brand now sources ingredients from 77 countries and can be found on the shelves of major retailers around the world. All products are free of GMOs, toxins, fillers, artificial fragrances, and synthetic chemicals. The brand continues to stay on the cutting edge of green beauty and biotechnology, collaborating with like-minded brands and organizations across industries and evolving in their sustainability efforts. Last year, Harper was awarded a spot on the Inc.

You can eat it, make textiles from it, and use it to hydrate your skin and hair.

  • Costa Brazil: Costa Brazil’s mission is to create products that are beneficial to the body and the spirit, as well as the earth. A sustainable beauty line created by Francisco Costa, it’s built on the simple belief that the spirit of beauty is inseparable from the health of the earth.
