La Verde Life’ Earth Day Special Uncovers Latest Green Movement: Herb Walks

Premiering this month on LATV, in honor of Earth Day, is an LATV special docu-series called LA Verde Life, which translates to, the Green Life. On this show we will highlight movers and shakers that are living the Green Life and contributing to a more sustainable future.
Our first segment covers the story of a young Chicana herbalist, Andrea Jimenez, a nature enthusiast who is helping all kinds of people better connect with the land, through herb walks and workshops, where anyone can learn about things like hot to safely forage and the medicinal properties of the plants around us.
From Herb Club L.A.:
Founded by Andrea Jimenez, the club was created to make space to help people reconnect with their true nature and with nature.
While our modern lifestyles keep us in a constant fight or flight state stuck in survival mode. this perpetuates fear —and fear perpetuates disconnection from ourselves and each other. this is the issue at heart at herb club la. we believe that reconnecting with the land and with each other is a crucial step to improving the health of individuals, communities, and our environment.
At Herb Club L.A. we get together to learn about the medicinal and cultural significance of the plants we share our environment with. we believe that by spending time in nature with nature, we can become better land stewards (inside & out).
