The Knicks Win and the Celebs Show Up

After 25 long years, the New York Knicks are finally back in the Eastern Conference Finals, and the entire city is buzzing with excitement. For a team that hasn’t won a championship since 1973 or been to the NBA Finals since 1999, this run has sparked an energy that New Yorkers haven’t felt in ages.
It all kicked off with a stunning upset against the Boston Celtics, one of the league’s top teams and last year’s champions. With Jalen Brunson at the helm and Karl-Anthony Towns, proudly celebrating his Dominican heritage, stepping up when it counted the most, the Knicks shocked everybody by taking down Boston 4-2 in the series.

On May 16, they pulled off a historic victory at Madison Square Garden, absolutely crushing the Celtics 119-81. Fans swarmed the streets around MSG, chanting “Knicks in Six!” and celebrating like it was the ’90s all over again.
The biggest highlight, though, came in the second round of the conference finals on May 25. The Knicks, down 2-0 in the series against the Indiana Pacers, staged an epic comeback from a 20-point deficit to clinch a 106-100 win. Towns erupted with 20 points in the fourth quarter alone, carrying the team while Brunson dealt with foul trouble.
