Joel DELEŌN Talks New Single ‘Coco’ and What He’s Looking for in a Partner

Joel Deleōn took a leap to begin a new era in his career. The ex CNCO band member has definitely found a new path while being hands-on in the whole process of making music.

With a new single “Coco,” out just in time for the Summer, and also ripping the success of his first solo single “La Culpa” Joel represents every phase in his life including love, family, his heritage, leaving Joel Pimentel behind and embracing his true self. 

Is there an album coming soon? We can confirm that! There’s a strategy behind everything, the singer shares. For now, he’s releasing singles, but eventually he will be coming out with the album. 

“What you guys have heard so far is only five percent of what I’m doing. There’s a bunch of other things that everyone has to hear from my voice because I’ve been learning so much,” Joel shared with LATV’s AK. 

There’s no stopping for the Mexican-American singer/songwriter. Making a debut as a solo artist is only the beginning and the genre that helped him rise to stardom is just one of the many he wants to experiment with.

There’s movies, restaurants, brands and even mini golf courses that might have his name in the future. We’ll just have to stay tuned because there’s more than meets the eye.

Why did Joel change his name? 

Joel honors his Mexican roots while fulfilling his late grandfather’s last wish to pursue a career in music and embracing this identity that was meant only for him.
