Highlights from Billboard Latin Music Week 2025 in Miami

Billboard Latin Music Week came back this year to The Fillmore Miami Beach, stronger than ever, continuing its legacy as the most important gathering of Latin music in the world. With over three decades of history, the event once again brought together artists, producers, and industry leaders for a week brimming with energy, creativity, and unforgettable moments.
Sponsored by HYBE, Netflix, State Farm®, Walmart, and the New York State Lottery, Latin Music Week 2025 celebrated the power of Latin music with exclusive panels, concerts, and gatherings that connected generations, all leading up to the Billboard Latin Music Awards, where Bad Bunny will be honored as the Artist of the 21st Century.
The Power of Independence
The first day set the tone with the panel, The Power of Independence, presented by Platoon and moderated by Ingrid Fajardo. Lenny Tavárez, Pinky Mordan, and producers Yan and Yon MadMusick shared their experiences on creative freedom and the impact of staying independent. The message was clear: authenticity remains the most valuable currency in the industry.

One of the week’s most viral moments was the panel The Power Duo, featuring Carín León and his manager Jorge Juárez, moderated by Leila Cobo. León surprised everyone by announcing his next musical project: an entirely country album.
“The second part of ‘Boca chueca’ is coming, and the country project, which is what excites me the most, or the best thing I’ve done of all I’ve done,” the singer revealed.
Juárez added, “Carín is not just a Regional Mexican artist; he is a global artist. When you work from the heart, the music transcends the genre.”
Anuel AA & DJ Khaled: The Globalization of Latin Trap
Another highlight was the conversation between Anuel AA and DJ Khaled, where they both discussed the global expansion of urban music and the power of collaboration.
“When I started in trap, I thought: if Eminem can do it in English, I can do it in Spanish,” shared Anuel, who also hinted that he has a new album on the way.

The global spirit continued with the panel The Music of the World Cup, where Carlos Vives, Emilia, Wisin, and Xavi discussed their collaboration for the official anthem of the 2026 World Cup.

Showcases, After-Parties, and Surprises
The nights of Latin Music Week buzzed with exclusive performances. The Opening Showcase at MAD Club Wynwood, presented by Boombastic, brought together GALE, Luck Ra, J Álvarez, Los Ricos, and more. The Argentine artist Yami Safdie was surprised with a birthday cake and a duet with Soledad, creating one of the most emotional moments of the event.
The celebration continued with an epic after-party by Rawayana at M2 Miami, where the Venezuelan band lit up the stage with a light show, confetti, and their hit “Veneka.”
