Happily’ Movie Review | Latin Tomates

Have you ever been friends with a couple who are so in love that it makes you angry? That’s what’s happening to Tom and Janet’s friends. They are the perfect couple, and even after being married for 14 years they can’t get their hands off each other, which reminds the rest of their friends how miserable they are in their own respective marriages.

One night, while they are having dinner with their good friends, their friends reveal their hatred for their perfect love affair. However, a visit from a mysterious stranger (Stephen Root) will change all of that, suddenly involving them in an existential crisis that leads to a dead body, a lot of questions, and a very tense couples trip with a group of friends who may not actually be their friends at all. Are Tom and Janet the victims of an elaborate prank? Or was the mysterious stranger even human to begin with?

Happily is a dark comedy thriller — an adult romantic comedy in the spirit of The Twilight Zone.
