Exclusive Interview with the Cast of the New Cannabis TV show ‘Mala Yerba’

An old saying my abuelita used to tell me to refer to my abuelito’s bad temper and resilience: “mala hierba nunca muere.”

And that resilience is what Maria Elisa Camargo and Sebastian Eslava shared in my interview with them to talk about this dark comedy about three entrepreneurs trying to get a piece of the medicinal cannabis pie in Colombia. Their company, KannaLab, quickly becomes the epitome of any entrepreneur’s dream. The team seems perfect; Mariana has the field,  Ignacio the contacts and Felix the perfect seed. However, they also have a pretty dark secret that will haunt them all the way.

When I asked Maria Elisa if she was worried about the controversy of the show, marihuana legalization, she said quite the opposite “we need to talk about these things so they can stop being taboo.”
