During the Super Bowl LVII broadcast, Run with It premiered, a campaign that highlighted the importance of women in sports and had as its main character, Diana Flores Arenas, captain of the Mexican flag football team, with which she was crowned as world champion in 2022.

In the commercial, the 25-year-old athlete is interviewed by a journalist who, highlighting her agility, asks her if there is someone who is capable of taking her flags, which she wears hanging from her belt, as is customary in flag football. Throughout the commercial, Diana Flores exhibits her qualities as an athlete and overcomes endless obstacles and people who try to snatch her flag, an act that in said sport is similar to a tackle in conventional American football.

“This is for all the women who drive this game. Proud to be part of the commercial, ”wrote the Mexican champion on her social networks.

The advertising campaign is aimed at “all the women who promote football.”

Diana Flores Arenas had already had an important appearance in an American football league event, as she served as the offensive coordinator of the American Conference (AFC) team in the 2023 Pro Bowl, a game in which he worked hand in hand with the historic player Peyton Manning.

Diana Flores has had an extensive career

At her young age, Flores Arenas has vast experience in flag football. At the age of eight, after having taken ballet and dance classes, she decided to lean towards a more “rude” activity and joined the “flag billet” team of the Águilas Blancas of the National Polytechnic Institute (IPN).

Her most outstanding participation took place in the 2022 world games, where she led Mexico to a streak of six wins and no losses, in addition to obtaining the gold medal for the national team.

“There is no dream too big, magic happens. You just have to be prepared and make sure you are ready, when and where your opportunity comes,” she commented in an interview with her alma mater in June 2022.

Currently, Diana Flores is considered one of the best flag football players in the world and has been a spokesperson for the athletes of this sport within international bodies, including the International Olympic Committee.
