An Intimate Chat with the Cast of Fantasy Island Season 2

The fantasy is just getting started when Fantasy Island Season 2 premiers in the Fall on FOX. This season promises to keep you at the edge of your seat while holding your hand through the fantasy.

The Q Agenda’s Enrique Sapene had the opportunity to travel to Puerto Rico to interview the cast and the magic began from the moment he arrived at the iconic El Conquistador Resort surrounded by open air spaces and lush tropical gardens. 

The whole event was held in two varandas with the ocean background in perfect tune with the Fantasy Island tone. Enrique met with actors Kiara Barnes (Ruby) and John Gabriel Rodriguez (Javier) to discuss how from the first episode of the new season there are new relationships that develop and some that end. 

“I had the opportunity to chat with Kiara about how her character being a queer woman has changed her and what she has discovered since she started to embody Ruby. Kiara is a straight woman playing a queer character.” says Enrique. “With John I had the chance to speak of the challenges that surround a man when dating a very strong woman like Miss Helena Roark, played by Roselyn Sanchez, the empress of Fantasy Island.”

We would describe the experience first-hand, but who better than the person who was there in person. Let Enrique speak for himself.

“I walked into this beautiful and tropical balcony where I found the stunningly-beautiful Roselyn Sanchez dressed in white with an even more beautiful smile on her face who pleasantly greeted me. We began to chat about how proud she is to return to Puerto Rico and provide opportunities for her people with the production of the series. Then we dove into her character. Helena is going through another wild rollercoaster of emotions this season. She is taking a chance at love again. Even after a very dramatic former relationship and this season she is determined to make it work while still finding time to make people’s fantasies come true and changing their lives for the better.” 

This season has an outstanding slate of guest stars. Amongst them, Terry Hatcher, Jai Rodriguez, Rachel Harris and Cheryl Hines just to name a few. Some of the biggest stars in Hollywood guest-starred. Alexa Mansour from The Walking Dead’s universe is also set to heavily recur.

All in all, this season promises to wrap you in a fantasy that you won’t want to wake up from.

Fantasy Island is set to return to FOX Tuesdays in the Fall season.
