The camera, officially dubbed ‘Player Spotlight: Messi,’ will be available for free on the official TikTok accounts of MLS (@MLS), Inter Miami (@InterMiamiCF), and Apple TV (@AppleTV). It will make its debut on August 2 when Inter Miami faces off against Necaxa at the start of the tournament. Additionally, it’s confirmed to be available for three more matches during the competition, with the dates set to be announced soon.
Since its debut in October 2024, the ‘Messi Cam’ has proven to be a tremendous success. During its first broadcast, it reached over 6.4 million views, becoming the most-watched live sporting event in TikTok history in the United States.

“It’s about giving fans a front-row seat to experience greatness in real-time, exclusively on TikTok,” said Rollo Goldstaub, Global Head of Sports Partnerships at TikTok. Meanwhile, Seth Bacon, Executive Vice President of Media at MLS, emphasized that this format “brings fans closer to one of the greatest players of all time, in a dynamic, immersive way designed for the next generation.”
Messi has revolutionized MLS since his arrival in 2023, not only with his level of play and leadership but also as a driving force of economic and cultural transformation. His presence has filled stadiums, skyrocketed jersey sales, and significantly increased international interest in the American League. On the field, his goals, assists, and magical moments have elevated the competitive level of both Inter Miami and the entire MLS.

Behind this growth is also the structure Messi has been building within Inter Miami, tailored to his vision. To the already well-known reinforcements like Sergio Busquets, Jordi Alba, and Luis Suárez, another close ally joins the ranks: Rodrigo De Paul. The midfielder, a key player in the Argentine National Team that won the World Cup, left Atlético de Madrid to join the team led by Javier Mascherano, another former teammate and friend of the captain.
De Paul’s signing solidifies the Argentine presence in the Inter Miami locker room and further strengthens the backbone of the team ahead of the Leagues Cup. With Messi at the heart of the conversation, the club is not only striving for sporting success but also aiming to remain at the center of global discussions.

And while the world eagerly awaits every move from the number 10, the ‘Messi Cam’ ensures no one misses a single moment. Whether it’s a fantasy pass, a knowing glance, or an impossible goal, TikTok will be there to bring it straight to the phones of millions of fans worldwide.
