Wilmer Valderrama to Produce Aztec-Fantasy, ‘Aztlan’

Wilmer Valderrama‘s company, WV Entertainment, has optioned the graphic novel Aztlán for development with CBS Studios.

Aztlán is a Mesoamerican epic adventure based on the Aztec myth of the Five Suns written by Eduardo Ancer.  The story is told from multiple perspectives, the royals, warriors and rogues in the race to gather the Masks of the Elemental Gods and harness their powers. Carlos Fabian Villa handled the art.

WV Entertainment will adapt the material into a series with Valderrama as executive producer and Kaitlin Saltzman as co-exec producer.

It’s about time Hollywood starts to develop Latinx action adventure stories like this one and Loteria. We can’t wait to watch it!
