Mr. Harrigan’s Phone
Mr. Harrigan’s Phone is one of the most anticipated October Netflix releases. It’s a movie based on a story created by horror genius Stephen King.
This horror and suspense film, starring Jaeden Martell and Donald Sutherland, is the brainchild of John Lee Hancock, who wrote this film adaptation of Stephen King’s short story of the same name, from his book If It Bleeds.
The story is about Craig (Jaeden Martell), a teenager living in a small town, who befriends a reclusive, older billionaire named Mr. Harrigan (Donald Sutherland). The two form an unlikely bond over their love for books and reading.
As their bond strengthens, Craig and Mr. Harrigan spend more and more time together, and the boy gives his new friend a phone so that they can communicate better. So when Mr. Harrigan passes away, Craig is devastated.
As if that wasn’t enough, things aren’t going much better for Craig at school either, as the bullying he had always suffered begins to worsen. Without direction, the teen decides to call his deceased friend, but is perplexed when Mr. Harrigan answers him on the other side of the line.
