Watch Costa Rican Fans React to Spain Match | Ganadoras

The FIFA Women’s World Cup is well underway and one of the few Latin American teams representing, Costa Rica came up against one of the favorites of the tournament Spain. Costa Rica started off with the momentum, but within a span of about 10 minutes everything went wrong starting with an own goal by Valeria del Campo. That proved to open the floodgates as the Spanish women would go on to hammer two more goals in the net thanks to Aittana Bonmati and Esther Gonzalez who netted the final two goals.
Costa Rica was able to regain their composure in the second half of the game and stop the bleeding. Having no points in their group the Costa Rican women have quite an uphill climb if they are to make it out of the group and into the next round. The next game in their Group C has Zmabia facing the always dangerous Japan, so Costa Rica will be watching closely to come up with a new plan to get a more positive result out of their remaining two group-stage games.
Fans of the two teams were at the stadium and hopeful to see their teams win or at least some great football, the game did not disappoint.
