Visiting Puerto Rico for Bad Bunny? Here’s the Ultimate West-Side Travel Guide

Bad Bunny never does what’s expected and his historic residency in Puerto Rico this summer is no exception. Instead of launching a global tour right away, he flipped the script and invited the world to him with a 10-week residency at El Choli, the legendary Coliseo de Puerto Rico. If you managed to snag a ticket to, you’re not just catching a concert, you’re stepping into Benito’s world.

The setlist of No Me Quiero Ir De Aquí is full of emotional moments and new classics from his hit project DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS, but the bigger message is clear: this is all about Puerto Rico. From jíbaro outfits and folk dancers to visuals that proudly say, “Puerto Rico is a non-incorporated territory of the United States but it has its flag, its culture and its own identity,” this show is a love letter to la isla.

So while you’re here, it only makes sense to explore more of the island. And to help you get started, Iván Emilio curated the ultimate West-Side Puerto Rico list. This isn’t your basic “top things to do” tourist roundup. It’s where locals go, where Benito lyrics live, and where the sunsets actually hit different.

16 Places to Visit on the West Side:

  1. Cara del Indio – Isabela: Snap a pic at this massive stone carving that honors Taíno heritage. It’s a quick stop, but a powerful one.

  2. Pozo de Jacinto – Isabela: This ocean blowhole is tied to local legend and mentioned in Bad Bunny’s “Weltita.” It’s a beautiful, eerie spot right near the cliffs.

  3. Playa Jobos – Isabela: One of the best beaches to catch a tan, ride a wave, or just chill with friends. Classic Isabela energy.

  4. Villa Cofresí – Rincón: Order a Coco Pirata and watch the sun dip into the ocean. A perfect post-beach drink spot that’s also a vibe.

  6. Nightlife in Mayagüez: Downtown Mayagüez is full of affordable bars, loud music, and a mix of students, locals, and travelers. Come ready to bar hop.
  7. Lunch Spots in Mayagüez: Check out Don Quijote, Cinco de Maya, or La Fresquería for delicious food that doesn’t try too hard. Just good sazón.
  8. Playa Sucia – Cabo Rojo: Don’t let the name fool you. It’s one of the clearest beaches in PR, tucked right beside the Cabo Rojo Lighthouse.

  9. Faro de Cabo Rojo: Hike up, take it all in. Ocean views, cliffs, and that perfect salty breeze. Your camera roll will thank you.
  10. Poblado de Boquerón – Cabo Rojo: Street kiosks with frituras, cold drinks, and loud music. Eat, drink, and people-watch your way through the night.

  11. RedSun Shop – Boquerón: Need a beach look or souvenir that doesn’t scream “I bought this at the airport”? Hit up RedSun.
  12. Downtown San Germán: It’s the second oldest city on the island, and the architecture proves it. Cobblestone streets and pastel buildings perfect for a chill stroll.

  13. Cayo Caracoles – Lajas: Only accessible by boat and 100% worth it. Crystal-clear waters, floating parties, and good vibes all day.

  14. La Parguera – Lajas: Another westside gem full of restaurants, bars, and small boats waiting to take you out to sea. It lights up at night, literally and culturally.

  15. Fuerte Caprón – Guánica: An easy hike with a major payoff. The views here are insane. Pack water and thank us later.

Whether you’re here for Bad Bunny or just riding the wave of island pride, these west-side spots offer the perfect mix of culture, nature, and puro sabor boricua.

So after you attend the concert, get a chance to feel Puerto Rico for real, one playa, fritura, and sunset at a time.
