The Q Agenda’ Season 8 Premieres Today with August Getty

“When you don’t have to change your logo to a rainbow in June because you are representing all year long” has become The Q Agenda’s M.O. Not for nothing, we’re premiering season eight of the award-winning LATV original series. The first episode, premiering this first week of Pride Month welcomes guest host Carolina Gutierrez, who will join the panel for part of this new season.

Our star-studded premiere episode will feature fashion designer and community activist August Getty who stops by to share details on his label, his upbringing, and coming to terms with who he is in a very accepting family setting. August’s mother, Italian-born American philanthropist, businesswoman, and film producer, Ariadne Getty, of THE Getty family is a huge activist as well constantly contributing to pro LGBTQ rights and equality through The Ariadne Getty Foundation

August also opens up about his sobriety and how it has changed him. Additionally, we speak about his fashion house, August Getty Atelier, and some of his designs worn by celebrities – in particular, dressing Laverne Cox for the Oscars and other red carpet hits during award season.

Among other topics, this time around we’ll be discussing how the GOP is setting back the clock on LGBTQ and Women’s rights. Finally, we attend the Trans Day of Visibility celebration at the Connie Norman Transgender Empowerment Center where we interview several trans artists who are showing their work to honor the community. We get to speak to celebrities as well, including Arisce Wanzer (Ex On the Beach MTV) and Cassandra James (General Hospital ABC).
