Timothée Chalamet Cast as Willy Wonka

Roald Dahl’s timeless story Wonka is being brought to life again with Timothée Chalamet cast to play young Willy Wonka. Wonka is going to be a prequel musical based on the early life of Willy Wonka. So if you’re wondering how he rose to fame and enslaved orange people, this will probably have all the answers about that. We’re sincerely hoping it’s better than Mortal Kombat 2021.
Deadline was the first to report that the Oscar-winning actor, and full-grown Tiny Tim, Timothée Chalamet would be playing Willy Wonka. He will be joining Gene Wilder and Johnny Depp, but will play a different version of the character. Deadline reported “He’s been the top choice for some time but scheduling was a hurdle that had to be overcome as training for those numbers is included in the prep for this film,”
The director of the film will be Paul King who brought Paddington to life. This is an exciting new project for Timothee who will also be starring in Dune, The French Dispatch and Don’t Look Up. The actor will also be hosting the Met Gala in september alongside Billie Eilish and Amanda Gorman.
