The Lincoln Lawyer: A Must-Watch Lead by a Latino is the Hottest on Netflix Now

Mickey Haller (played by Manuel Garcia Rulfo) is a legal drama about a lawyer who practices law in Los Angeles out of his Lincoln car. The character of Mickey is someone that doesn’t go for specific cases but will take on whatever case he feels is worth his time. Some of those cases are massive conspiracies and other cases the character will decide to take on are a lot smaller and only require his client to show up in court to dismiss a fine. The show was able to strongly articulate how Mickey feels about certain issues while showing how professional the character is when practicing law.
Mickey has also had multiple divorces in his life due to members of his family complicating his objectivity when being a defense attorney while his ex-wife was prosecuting them. In real life, this could easily be a justification for a judge to dismiss a case, but Mickey decided to do the divorce himself because of his strong convictions. There are times when the character Mickey has strong moral qualms about the actions that his clients are guilty of, but he still believes that they have to be proven guilty in a court of law before they face consequences.
Throughout the series, some of the aspects that define Mickey Haller as a character are flipped on their head just to keep the story interesting. For example, there is a part of the book where Mickey stops practicing law in a car and actually gets a lease on his office while getting an associate to work for him.
