The Handmaid’s Tale’ Comes Back to Hulu

Surprise! The first three episodes of Season 4 of the dystopian show, “The Handmaid’s Tale,” have been released early on Hulu. The originally planned release on April 28 was moved up, and the first three episodes of the fourth season are now available to stream on Hulu. The rest of the 10-episode season will be released weekly.

“The Handmaid’s Tale” made the announcement with a video featuring its cast. “I know you’ve been waiting patiently for Season 4. Well guess what, I have some good news. The first three episodes of ‘The Handmaid’s Tale’ are available right now…”.

My question is, how many more seasons of the show can possibly be made? After a great first season, the following two dragged on and failed to surpass the source material based on Margaret Atwood’s book. And the thought of a 4th season gives me anxiety, to be honest. With each successive season, it has become more difficult to imagine what point there could be to extending all this anguish. However, season 4 brings a renewed sense of purpose, as June and her fellow rebellious handmaidens regroup and try to decide what’s next – so hopefully it’s not as dark as the other ones.

“The Handmaid’s Tale” stars Elizabeth Moss, Joseph Fiennes, Yvonne Strahovski, Samira Wiley, Alexis Bledel, Ann Dowd, Max Minghella, Madeline Brewer, O-T Fagbenle, Amanda Brugel, Bradley Whitford and Sam Jaeger.
