Support Latino Business Day: We Have All Eyes on These L.A. Locals!

Summer may be —almost— over, but the celebration continues from a month to a lifetime. Outdoor events, street parties, food and drinks seem like the perfect opportunity to get together again and support small businesses.

Speaking of a Latinx-owned biz celebración, today is Support Latino Business Day —A Day of action to celebrate the 4.7 million Latino business owners for their positive impact across communities and the U.S. economy. Celebrated one day early, as a kick-off party to Hispanic Heritage Month (September 15-October 15), Support Latino Business Day highlights the vital and often unsung contributors of the U.S. economy.

As people, corporations and independent brands continue highlighting the importance of Latinx Small businesses, we spotted local Los Angeles food vendors, designers and creators that were part of  Buchanan’s La Reunión. Check out the pictures below and make sure you add them to your own list to give the small biz love.

Food + Drinks: A wide array of sweet and savory bites from local eateries El Guero’s Food Truck, La Barquita Mariscos, LA Churros and Kimdy Sweets, paired with delicious Buchanan’s cocktails with customized garnishes served out of a fruit cart like the “Muy Amable” created by Va’La Hospitality c/o No Us Without You LA.

Live Entertainment: LA’s hottest Latin party, Al Tun Tun, brought live DJ’s, dancers and special acts that brought guests to the dance floor and set the tone for a live performance by Dominican Reggaeton Artist, Fuego.

Por si fuera poco, for every sale made at vendor booths, Buchanan’s La Reunión would feed one family in Los Angeles for a week through No Us Without You non-profit.

Hispanic Heritage Month, and the Latino Alternative Movement we’re launching at LATV, is just about to begin, but we encourage you to support Latino and Latina owned businesses all year around!

Don’t miss out on everything LATV has to offer in September, come celebrate OUR heritage, our culture and YOU. Stay tuned!
