We Got First Dibs on Super Nintendo World — Come along for the ride!

We had the honor of checking out Super Nintendo World for Media Day before its Grand Opening. If you’re planning on going, we guarantee it’s one of the funnest experiences you’ll ever have at an amusement park!
The land is designed so that you are completely immersed in the experiences. It doesn’t matter how old you are, the moment you go through the tube, and see the land you automatically become a kid. “I loved that the games are interactive and there are incentives to playing the games and getting on the rides,” says LATV’s Eliana Reyes, host of Blacktinidad, who got a chance to experience the brand-new activation at Universal before doors opened to the public.
One of the coolest addition to the ride is the Power-Up bands. They link up to the Universal Studios Hollywood App and help incentivize the experience by keeping track of activities, collecting coins and if you do well in each interactive game, then you collect keys that unlock more experiences.
“My favorite part was that you actually collect coins via your Power-Up band when you punch the coin blocks all located all over the land. The Mario Kart Bowser’s Challenge ride is like no other ride I’ve been on. It’s so technologically advanced mixing AR (augmented reality) along with movement, music, etc, I had a blast and can’t wait to go again!”

Another thing you’ll look forward to is the Toadstool Cafe. All of the food was Mario Bros themed, beautifully decorated and tasted great! Nintendo World is definitely redefining park experiences at Universal Studios Hollywood with its immersive design and cutting edge technology. It’s a really exciting ride!
