Space Jam: A New Legacy – Here’s What You Should Know

Los Angeles Lakers player LeBron James, also known as “King James,” will be a part of the new Space Jam film called, “Space Jam: A New Legacy” – a sequel with Warner Brothers most iconic characters, “The Looney Tunes,” directed by Malcolm D. Lee.

Legendary basketball player Michael Jordan was a part of the original Space Jam film in 1996. Warner Brothers released the trailer of the new film on April 3rd. The film is also set to premiere in theaters and on HBO Max starting July 16th. Actress Sonequa Martin Green will play James’ wife “Kamiyah,” and actor Don Cheadle will play “Al-G Rhythm.” 

In this new Space Jam film, the voice behind Bugs Bunny is Jeff Bergman, and comedian Gabriel Iglesias will be the voice of Looney Tunes character, “Speedy Gonzales.” Actress Zendaya will be the voice of “Lola Bunny.” According to the trailer, James sees potential in his son Dom to play basketball; like father like son. However, Dom doesn’t seem to have the same passion for basketball as his dad. Dom gets off the wrong floor on the elevator, and before James knows it, Al-G Rhythm takes his son away.

In order for James to get his son back he needs to win a basketball game. James teams up with Bugs Bunny and other Looney Tunes characters known as the “Tune Squad” to play against the “Goon Squad.” Stay tuned for more updates…
