Shakira Is Back! Everything About Her First Tour in 7 Years

It’s happening!!! Shakira is officially back on the road, and the world just isn’t ready for what she’s bringing to the stage. After seven years without a world tour, the Colombian icon is finally giving fans what they’ve been waiting for with the Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour, and if the first few shows are anything to go by, we’re witnessing history in the making.

From emotional throwbacks to record-breaking ticket sales, here’s everything you need to know about Shakira’s return to live performances.

A Show Built For Empowerment

This isn’t just a tour. It’s a statement. After years of personal and professional ups and downs, Shakira has created a space for fans to heal, celebrate, and scream their hearts out. According to her team, the tour is all about personal rebirth and empowerment, inspired by the themes of her latest album, Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran.

The production is on another level. Picture massive LED screens, breathtaking choreography, and even animated versions of Shakira popping up throughout the show. And let’s not forget the fashion—she’s flaunting custom looks from Versace, Zuhair Murad, and wearing iconic Tiffany & Co. jewelry designed by Elsa Peretti.

But beyond the visuals, this tour is all about the music. Over two and a half hours, Shakira takes fans on a journey through three decades of her career, from Pies Descalzos to Monotonía to Waka Waka.

And the numbers don’t lie: over 950,000 tickets have already been sold, and the demand just keeps growing. She even broke records in Mexico City, becoming the first artist ever to sell out seven consecutive nights at Estadio GNP Seguros. If this is just the beginning, we can’t imagine what the rest of the tour will bring.

The Tour Kickoff: Shakira Takes Over Brazil

Shakira launched her tour on February 11, 2025, in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and it was pure magic. The Estádio Olímpico Nilton Santos, packed with 45,000 fans, was screaming from the second she hit the stage. Shakira is still that girl.

But beyond the visuals, the night was full of emotion. “A she-wolf never forgets her pack,” she told the crowd in Spanish. “And after tonight, each of you will be with me forever.”

If that wasn’t enough to get fans in their feelings, her updated lyrics to Don’t Bother definitely did. Originally, she sang, “I’d leave everything I have and move to a communist country just to be with you.” But this time she sang: “I left everything I had and moved to a socialist country just to be with you.” A clear reference to her time in Spain and her high-profile breakup with Gerard Piqué. The internet exploded.

Two days later, she did it all again in São Paulo, proving that she’s not just back, she’s stronger than ever.

The Lima Cancellation: A Scare and a Comeback

Peruvian fans were in for a whirlwind of emotions when, just hours before her February 16 show in Lima, Shakira announced she was canceling due to an emergency hospital visit for intense abdominal pain. She shared a heartfelt message online: “I’m so sorry to inform you that I had to go to the emergency room last night due to abdominal pain. The doctors have advised me that I’m not in the condition to perform tonight.”

Fans were devastated, but the love was real since hundreds gathered outside her hotel and hospital, sending well wishes. Luckily, Shakira recovered quickly and performed the next night on February 17, putting on a show that fans called one of her best ever.

For those who missed out, there’s good news: Shakira has rescheduled the canceled Lima show for November 15, 2025, and even added an extra date on November 16.
