Shades of Beauty: Mother’s Day Special

In a heartwarming episode of “Shades of Beauty” Najah and Zashia talked about their love and upbringing with their mothers and host Zashia shared her insights on the joys and challenges of being a mother herself while maintaining her role as a content creator. Reflecting on her journey, Zashia emphasized the growth of patience as a an important attribute. “One thing that has grown a lot is patience,” she said, highlighting a sentiment that resonates deeply with mothers everywhere.

Joining the conversation was Key Miles, a content creator and momager, who shared her inspiring story of transitioning into content creation during the pandemic. “It was during the pandemic and the world was on lockdown, and I was looking for ways to get out and be safe,” Key recounted. One of her favorite things to film with her daughters is the filming of  gardens and meditation sessions, reflecting both her passion and commitment to family-centered content.

In discussing the realities of online presence, Key addressed the challenge of dealing with hateful comments. “I address everyone, if I have time, but most of the time, my other followers will respond for me, it’s a community and they protect us,” she explained, highlighting the supportive nature of her online community.

Balancing personal life with motherhood and career was a topic that resonated strongly with both Zashia and Key. Key emphasized the importance of ‘ME Time’ in maintaining this delicate part of mom/me balance.

The conversation took a light-hearted turn with a game of “shade or praise,” tapping into thought-provoking topics such as discipline in spanking and homeschooling. The candid and open exchanges showcased the many viewpoints of  the women.
