Selena Honored with Lifetime Achievement Award at the GRAMMYs

It’s official, Selena Quintanilla now has a lifetime achievement award after receiving the honor at the 2021 GRAMMYs. According to the recording academy “The Lifetime Achievement Award celebrates performers who have made outstanding contributions of artistic significance to the field of recording.”

Which is an understatement considering the impact Selena has had on music and culture. Having already won a GRAMMY in 1994 for her album Live! she’s no stranger to the GRAMMYs, but yo… where was the tribute? Also, something to consider… was 2020 the biggest year for Selena? It may have been at least the biggest year since her passing.
