Rauw Alejandro and Rosalia’s Relationship Timeline

The world in, once again, surprised by the news that Rosalía and Rauw Alejandro are reportedly broken up. While we are still trying to process the news, let’s look at a breakdown of the singers’ love story.

They started seeing each at the beginning of 2020 but didn’t make it Instagram official until December when the Spanish singer shared photos riding a motorcycle with him. However, Rosalía, who prevoiusly dated C Tangana, denied being in a relationship with Rauw, stating she only had time for her music career.

In August 2021, paparazzi captured them leaving a Los Angeles restaurant, The Nice Guy, in West Hollywood, hand in hand. It eventually came to light that the two had been dating in secret for some time.

About a month later, the couple finally confirmed their relationship status on Rosalía’s 28th birthday, as they shared pictures of themselves together during the celebration. “Even if the sun goes down with you, the day never ends. Happy birthday, baby,” Rauw wrote affectionately.

In the digital show Alofoke Sin Censura, Rauw explained: “We have a career to take care of and she is not a person to create drama, neither am I. When they caught us outside, we were already really convinced of what we wanted in life. The point is that you want to make sure that person is there for you and vice versa.

In November, they enjoyed a trip to Mexico together, before making their official red-carpet debut at the Los 40 Music Awards in Palma de Mallorca, Spain. On February 14th, 2022, Alejandro publicly declared his love for Rosalía, calling her the “love of his life” and “the most extraordinary person I have ever met.” In his Instagram stories, the reggaeton singer admitted: “You don’t know how much this woman makes me laugh, she always finds a way to make me smile.”

In June, they enjoyed a romantic vacation together in Greece, before facing rumors of a possible break-up in August. However, they would end up just being that- rumors. 

After spending another Valentine’s Day together in 2023, Rosalía and Rauw announced, in March, that they are now engaged and will soon get married. The couple released an EP called RR, with three love songs: “Vampiro,” “Beso,” and “Promesas,” where they sing together for the first time. Rosalía has a tattoo of their initials, RR, on her foot.

The single “Beso’’’s music video is a compilation of video clips of the couple throughout their three-year relationship.  They can be seen cuddling, kissing, and just enjoying each other’s company in a whirlwind of places, including after a Motomami Tour, on an idyllic beach, in a hotel room, or during many of their recent escapades to Japan or New York.

The video ends with a home video of Rosalía in tears showing off her engagement ring. ‘Oh my God. And with all of my mascara running off,’ she stated while Rauw lovingly kissed her.
